Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, Inconel, and other aerospace-grade alloys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and repair specifications.
  • Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, aligning, and clamping components.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and visual inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Accurately document work completed and maintain traceability records.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Welder with expertise in TIG welding for precision components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with thin-gauge alloys, particularly in the context of aerospace or aviation maintenance. A strong understanding of welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance is essential.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Red Seal or equivalent Welder Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a precision or regulated environment.
  • Previous experience in aviation or aerospace industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to weld thin materials with high quality and minimal distortion.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow strict procedures.
  • Familiarity with aerospace welding specifications and standards (e.g., AWS D17.1) is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in Richmond, BC.
  • Shop-floor environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and high temperatures.

Job Description:

We are dedicated to delivering high-quality turbine component rework and precision machining services to the aerospace sector. As we continue to grow, we are seeking experienced and skilled Machinists to join our team.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Machinist with hands-on experience operating manual mill and lathe machines. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in precision machining, a strong understanding of aerospace components, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. Aviation industry experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual milling machines and engine lathes to perform precision machining operations.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Set up and adjust machines and tools according to job specifications
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and follow company quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance team and Engineering to meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Machinist with completion of a recognized Machinist Apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating manual mills and lathes.
  • Strong understanding of tolerances, fits, and finishes.
  • Experience in an aerospace or aviation MRO environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and interpret complex technical documents.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring the activities of the MRO to
ensure compliance with regulatory standards, operational procedures and company deliverable expectations.  
In addition, the QC inspector works closely with the O’Reilly Holdco (OHC) Quality and Safety group, acting as the
onsite representation and support for all Quality and Safety activities.


As a QC Inspector, you will play a vital role in supporting technicians by providing mentorship, conducting
inspections, verifying compliance, and ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technicians on Quality Control Procedures (QCPs), documentation standards, and compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Thoroughly review work orders to ensure proper completion, documentation, and adherence to approved procedures.
  • Ensure that all parts used in maintenance and repairs are certified and traceable.
  • Monitor the use of calibrated tools for expiry and serviceability and manage the tool calibration program.
  • Conduct Quality Control checks on completed tasks, ensuring that they meet safety and quality standards before component release.
  • Perform in‐process inspections of maintenance activities to verify compliance with regulatory standards, maintenance procedures and company expectations.
  • Verify that all inspections have been completed accurately and that no issues are overlooked.
  • Confirm that work orders are built correctly and followed in accordance with the approved procedures.
  • Ensure that correct maintenance data (approved/acceptable/specified data) is used and complied with for each task.
  • Ensure that minor changes to components in accordance with CAR 571.06 are appropriately documented.
  • Monitor the use of alternate parts and ensure they are valid and appropriate for use.
  • Support the interpretation of technical data, manuals, and schematics and investigate source material and liaise with Engineering where required for clarity.
  • Identify and raise NCRs (Non‐Conformity Reports) in coordination with the OHC Director of Quality and Safety for any quality escapes, repeated discrepancies or defects found during inspections.
  • Assist in identifying the root cause of quality issues and support the implementation of corrective actions to address deficiencies and prevent recurrence.
  • Support the OHC Director of Quality and Safety in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s MPM and QCPs.
  • Participate in process audits, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as directed by the OHC Director of Quality and Safety.
  • Assist in preparing for external audits and ensure audit readiness.  
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes and suggesting/implementing solutions.
  • Conduct Foreign Object Damage (FOD) inspections to ensure no foreign objects are left in/on components, preventing damage or safety hazards.
  • Act as the on‐site HSE representative of the company, and monitor company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program in alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety walk around inspections to identify safety hazards and unsafe practices, perform risk assessments, and report the findings to the OHC HSE Coordinator.
  • Track and report on occupational health and safety performance metrics, including accidents, incidents, and near misses to the OHC HSE Coordinator.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance and quality control in the aviation/aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of CAR 571, 573 and their foreign equivalents.
  • Proficient in technical data interpretation of engine and component maintenance manuals.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian OHS regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent computer skills related to Microsoft Office, ERP and Quality related software suites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • A positive and proactive attitude related to the support and improvement of Quality and Safety systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Preference will be given to applicants who also possess:
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015/AS9100/AS9110 accredited organizations.
  • Previous experience as an HSE Representative or in an HSE‐related role.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques to identify safety and quality trends.
